Most sites are finished inside a week of starting the build. The part before that — working out what the business actually needs, and going back and forth on multiple directions until one is right — takes as long as it takes, usually another week or two depending on how quickly feedback comes back.

The reason it is a week and not a month is that there is nobody to hand it to. The person who designed it builds it, so nothing waits in a queue between the two.

A conversation first, and nothing prepared. I want to know what the business does and what success would actually look like — that is the Brief stage and it is where most of the useful information comes out.

After that: any branding you already have, whatever copy or photos exist, and access to the domain if there is one. If none of that exists yet, that is normal and it is part of the job rather than a prerequisite for it.

Yes. The design and build work happens the same way wherever you are, and most of it is calls and shared files regardless.

The one thing that is Melbourne-only is on-site photography, since that means turning up with a camera.

All fine, and none of it gets thrown away by default. If you have branding that works I will pick it up and extend it rather than start again — that is explicitly part of the branding service.

If you have a site that has aged, the usual answer is a rebuild rather than a patch, but I will tell you honestly if it is not worth the money.

Half up front and half on delivery. The 50% deposit starts the work; the remaining 50% is due once the finished thing is live.

The number is fixed in writing before anything begins and it does not move unless you ask for something that was not in the scope — in which case I will tell you what it changes before doing it.

You are charged for the finished thing rather than for the hours it took to get there, which is the whole point.
